Each class has three Big Goals and will be tracking their success towards those goals. These goals are ambitious, but I feel we are going to be successful!
Your level of effort will make your success.
Goal #1. Each student will gain one level in their LEAP Test score from the previous year. Example: A student who had an Approaching Basic score last year will move to scoring a Basic.
Goal #2: A class average of 80% on all tests/quizzes/homework/classwork. (Why 80%? Because 80% is a level that equals Advanced on the LEAP Test. If you can average that in this class, you score will rise towards that score level.)
Goal #3: Each student will complete and present a math research project to the entire 8th grade at the end of the year.
